The fastest and easiest way to use Handelsbanken Online Banking is with the card reader and cable.

Install the software

Before you can use the card reader with cable, you must first install the Handelsbanken security programme and driver on your computer. Here you can download the

1. Connect the card reader to the computer

Connect the card reader to the computer as shown in the picture below.
Insert your log-on card into the card reader with the chip down, facing you.

2. Log in to Handelsbanken

Ensure that the cable is connected to the card reader and the computer.
Insert the log-on card into the card reader.
Go to

, click on ‘Log in’ and select Individual Online Banking in the drop down menu. Click on ‘OK’ to confirm.
Click on ‘Card reader with cable’.
Click on ‘Authenticate’.
‘Card PIN:’ will be shown on the display of the card reader. Enter your login code in the card reader. Press ‘OK’.
